En AIS-SARTer en liten AIS-sender som vanligvis monteres påredningsvesten. Denne blir aktivert når personen er i vannet,og båter med AIS-motakerutstyr vil få ettmann-over-bord signal på sin plotter.

Smallest distress beacon lauched
French brand SIMY has launched what it claims to be, ‘the world’s smallest marine distress beacon’, capable of fitting into even compact lifejackets. My-AIS will transmit a ‘man overboard’ alert and the position of the alert to nearby boats within a range of 5 to 10 nautical miles depending on sea conditions.
